Red Priest

The baroque period was one of wonderful experimentation: performers competing against one another, stealing and re-writing each other's work, mixing and developing new styles. Red Priest take stolen masterworks and long-lost jewels of the baroque era and perform them with swashbuckling virtuosity!

Works by BACH, HANDEL, VIVALDI,
TARTINI, COUPERIN and others.

His programme includes works by Giuliani, Iannarelli, Mangoré, Piazzolla, Tárrega and Albéniz.

Our first-ever Masterclass involving YSV students

Takako Yamasaki, well known to LDSM audiences for her outstanding performances and violin classes, works with students from the Young String Venture Course. LDSM is forever grateful to Sam and Marion Forrester who laid the foundations in 1985 of the student scholarship fund, which now supports so many students each year. Attending YSV concerts was always a source of special pleasure for Sam Forrester and his enthusiasm for these young musicians was tangible. This is the first public masterclass for the Young String Venture students.
