The Sam Forrester Masterclass St Martin's College, Ambleside Our first-ever Masterclass involving YSV students Takako Yamasaki, well known to LDSM audiences for her outstanding performances and violin classes, works with students from the Young String Venture Course. LDSM is forever grateful to Sam and Marion Forrester who laid the foundations in 1985 of the student scholarship fund, which now supports so many students each year. Attending YSV concerts was always a source of special pleasure for Sam Forrester and his enthusiasm for these young musicians was tangible. This is the first public masterclass for the Young String Venture students. |

Christoph Richter (cello) Ambleside Parish Church With Nicola Eimer (piano) Christoph Richter follows in the pedigree traditions of his teachers André Navarra and Pierre Fournier. Winner of prestigious prizes, he is in demand as soloist and chamber musician, working regularly with András Schiff and Heinz Holliger, appearing at many European festivals and making many recordings. The pianist Nicola Eimer, founder of the Eimer Piano Trio, has performed in venues from New York to Salzburg. Nicola is currently Hodgson Fellow at the Royal Academy of Music.
