Kirkby Lonsdale Market Day Recital Kirkby Lonsdale Parish Church The Vardanyan Quartet Formed at the Royal College of Music in 2005, the Vardanyan Quartet currently work under the guidance of Levon Chilingirian. In January 2007 they played to Bernard Haitink, who promptly invited them to perform in his concert series in Switzerland. Their programme includes works by SCHUBERT and PUCCINI and the great Quartet in A minor, Op.51 by BRAHMS. |

LDSM Artists Ensemble Penrith Methodist Church
Ani Schnarch violin, Garfield Jackson viola, LDSM Artists Ensemble, soloists and chamber musicians, enjoy working with new colleagues while in residence as Professors at the Summer School. This is always one of the most popular Festival concerts in its programming of duos, solos and ensemble works.

Celebrity Morning Recital Kendal Parish Church Jonathan Scott (organ) & Tracey Redfern (trumpet) Organ and trumpet luxuriate in the excellent acoustics of the Parish Church in an exciting programme designed as a journey from the early 18th to the 21st Century, from Tartini in Italy to Hakim in Paris. Jonathan Scott leads a multi-talented career as both organist and pianist in demand throughout the UK and Europe. Tracey Redfern is a prominent trumpeter in the UK and abroad. She is Principal Trumpet with Manchester Camerata and works regularly with the Hallé and BBC Philharmonic orchestras, amongst many others. TARTINI, STANLEY, BACH, SAINT-SAËNS, NAJI HAKIM and PETR EBEN offer an innovative and rewarding concert in the hands of two of our foremost young performers. |

Takako Yamasaki (violin) Victoria Hall, Grange over Sands With Alexis White (piano) Japanese violinist and international prize winner, Takako Yamasaki has already established herself as a firm favourite with LDSM audiences. She is joined by another LDSM artist, Alexis White, winner of the 7th Noyers International Competition in France. Solo recitals and chamber music engagements take her throughout the UK and Europe.
