Hildegard of Bingen Ordo Virtutum (staged)
Hear the plainchant melodies of this inspiring 12th century work in the ethereal surroundings of Kendal Parish Church. This Benedictine Abbess is widely attributed as the first composer of music theatre. Staged in and around the unique internal spaces of this venue, this performance of Ordo Virtutum will bring a very special resonance to the music. Led by leading exponents on the international early music scene, this is really a 'once in a lifetime' opportunity.
